Gunung Tahan

8/7/2003 Day 4: Gunung Gedung - Kuala Teku

0844

Originally plan to leave at 8am. Late due very bad weather, it was cold and wind was blowing and whole place covered with mist, and we had difficulties preparing breakfast. Last night was terrible, 2 rain storms, one at 10pm and the other around 11pm+, and lightning cloud was moving towards us. Strong wind was blowing throughout the night bending our tents. Rain water gotten into the tents wetting my sleeping bag. Did not get much sleep. 2 strings of the guide's A-tent was broken by the strong wind.
